Jaguar Bahrain Provides Dynamic F-TYPEs for I-PACE eTROPHY Saudi Racing Driver Selection Event

Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover provided Jaguar F-TYPEs for use by Saudi Racing as part of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation’s preliminary driver selections which took place at the Bahrain International Circuit.

The selection process saw 10 Saudi Arabian drivers take turns to undergo demanding and elaborate driving tests with the powerful and agile F-TYPE. During the tryouts, the drivers were judged by international instructors who were at the passenger seat throughout each test.  At the end of the selection, two of the best drivers were chosen to represent the Saudi Racing at the Jaguar I-PACE eTrophy Championships.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Stephen Lay, the General Manager of Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover Bahrain, said: “It gives us great pleasure and pride to support this preliminary selection process by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation. The F-TYPE is a powerful and especially agile sports car that offers effortless performance and handling consistency. This provides the driver with the closest experience of driving in the all-electric racecars that will be used during the Championship, and would prepare them in the best possible way. We wish Saudi Racing great success at the Jaguar I-PACE eTrophy Championships.”

The Championship consists of 10 rounds that will be held in various cities across the world starting from November 2019. The first two rounds are set to take place in Ad Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

With 20 production-based Jaguar I‑PACE SV race cars with identical specifications going head to head, it’s down to driver skill and team tactics to decide who will be crowned champion. Held over ten races and in some of the world’s most celebrated cities, the Jaguar I‑PACE eTROPHY Championship promises to be the next exciting chapter in Jaguar’s Race to Innovate.
